    All who are made to be compassionate in the place of the cruel In the end are made to be cruel in the place of the compassionate.

    More colloquially translated: "Those who are kind to the cruel, in the end will be cruel to the kind."

Taliban Extends Deadline

With two of its hostage women in failing health, the Taliban have extended their deadline for resolution from 3:30 a.m. August 1 to 4:30 p.m. [1], which in Afghanistan is about 10 hours and 20 minutes away from this posting.
