I'm just passing this one along.
It's evident that the Pakistani military and paramility forces have now a continuous engagement in and coming down through the countryside. Counter-intuitive as my observation may be, this looks to me a step into conventional fighting and the start of pulling together a more cohesive conservative Islamic state. The more secure the state feels with regard to representing its people, defending its boundaries, and promoting across the palette of universal human needss--i.e., for agriculture, education, and health--the more successful its people may become in aggregate.
