    All who are made to be compassionate in the place of the cruel In the end are made to be cruel in the place of the compassionate.

    More colloquially translated: "Those who are kind to the cruel, in the end will be cruel to the kind."

Pakistan: Swat Valley: About One Year Ago

One sees from far in both time and space.

This particular clip strikes me as almost cosmetic--the far away boom of a shell, a partially damaged mosque, a man on a stretcher, someone else preparing to leave town--it doesn't quite do justice to the parading of decapitated bodies or, separately, corpses left in fields for discovery by others on days following the murders that planted them.
