Intolerant old men might make the best suicide bombers, especially if they would consistently goof while making their bombs: they would finish off themselves and their ideas and, happily go out with just the bang they wanted.

A bit arch, but then I just got off the phone with my 85-year-old uncle, just as quick and sharp as a whip as ever.

And I remember my 84-year-old father's last conversation with me, which I won't repeat here, but I will tell you it was vigorous, and at that point his mind and voice were about all he had left.
